The “Flip Flop” Year

Chinese Metaphysics disciplines use five elements to conduct analysis. The nature of each element and the relationships among those elements become the basic thinking to conduct analysis. The five elements are water, wood, fire, earth and metal.

The year 2013 is a Water Snake (Gui Si) year that starts from February 4th, 2013 till February 3rd, 2014. The Gui (yin water) can be represented in nature as clouds, mist and any kind of small amounts of water; while Si (bing fire) is visualized as the sun. Therefore Gui Si can be symbolized as the sun covered by clouds.
Referring to Gui Si symbol, the interpretation of year 2013 (Gui Si Year) is the year dominated with lots of uncertainties that effect people to be more difficult to predict the outcome. The question now is wheter the effect is favorable or not for everybody life. The answer is it depends on his/her BaZi Chart quality in the particular year / period.

The quality of BaZi chart is determined by the elements balance. If Gui water and Bing fire are the element that are needed to improve his/her BaZi Chart quality, the “flip flop” result that occurred during this year will bring advantage to that person.

On the other hand if Gui Water and Bing Fire are the elements that are not expected appear in the BaZi chart as make unbalance the BaZi chart, that person will meet a challenging time in the year 2013 and it means the “flip flop” result will affect unfavorable condition to that person.
The unfavorable impact can be minimized by managing the good qi in that person’s house or office. Fengshui assessment can help people to assess qi quality in house or office and also provide recommendation to improve qi quality.
